SR2020 Inc.

Our employees have the opportunity to work with geoscientists who are recognized as the leaders in high definition borehole seismic based services. We continue to invent, patent, and implement acquisition and processing technologies that have been applied in a wide variety of projects that range from the simple to the most complex. We are the leader in 3D vertical seismic profiling (VSPs) having patented advanced 3D/4D borehole seismic technologies. Together with sophisticated seismic processing and modeling capabilities, we provide high definition, 3D subsurface imaging solutions for oil and gas reservoirs as well as for environmental applications. This is an exciting time to be part of SR2020 Inc. because of the rapid growth of our global business. Motivated employees will find opportunities here to develop their skills, be recognized as an industry leader, and have the opportunity to grow as the organization grows. We are currently looking for the following positions:

Geophysicist – Seismic Processing

submit resume

We are currently looking for experienced geophysicists in the area of borehole seismic. Our seismic processing projects include data from both marine and land conditions under the most challenging geologic settings. The position of geophysicist is responsible for processing and analysis of 3D vertical seismic profiles (VSP) and microseismic data. Responsibilities include forward modeling of borehole seismic data, survey planning, QC of data from the field and seismic processing. Data analysis includes all processing aspects of multicomponent data from geometry setup to velocity model building and depth migration utilizing industry standard and proprietary data processing software.

Position Location: Brea, California

Requirements:

Geophysicist – Field Engineer

submit resume

The position is related to oil exploration and/or earthquake monitoring. This challenging position is responsible for assuring the efficiency, quality and conformance to standards during “Vertical Seismic Profiling” data acquisition field operations, as well as for providing preliminary field processing products and for assisting with processing 3DVSP data using industry standard and proprietary seismic data processing software packages.

Position Location: Brea, California

Requirements:

Software Developer

submit resume

This position is responsible for modeling and processing proprietary vertical seismic profile (VSP) data from QC through final imaging, and for processing/reprocessing VSP data derived from other acquisition companies utilizing industry standard and proprietary seismic data processing software.

Position Location: Brea, California

Requirements:

Geophysicist / Seismologist

submit resume

SR2020 Inc., located in Orange County, has an opening for a full time scientist/engineer who can become a member of our seismic analysis group. We are looking for someone with a strong background on seismology/geophysics, propagation of seismic waves, signal analysis and earthquake processes in general.

SR2020 provides a wide range of borehole seismic services to various industries. Our work includes many aspects of seismic analysis and includes earthquake monitoring (i.e. microseismic event location and source analysis), seismic imaging (i.e. high resolution seismic images of complex geologic settings) and reservoir monitoring (i.e. storage of CO2 underground facilities, enhanced oil recovery).

We are looking for scientists/engineers who can work independently on solving complex geophysics/seismology problems. We work with diverse clients that range from national labs to oil companies so an open mind for solving different problems is a plus. We do projects all over the world so being able to travel every now and then is a plus. We examine data from active sources (dynamite, vibroseis) and also passive ones (local and induced earthquakes) so a good understanding of signal analysis is critical.
